Apple Picking.

Okay, so this was a lot of fun! I've been seeing people go apple picking every fall for a couple years now, and I thought- how cool! Anything involving local grown food and quality family time is a good day in my book. I was so happy when I found jones orchard, which is located in millington. It was a little bit of a drive to me, but that's because I'm use to everything being so close. Spoiled, I know! ;) I recommend to any who wants to try it out, just plan on making a day out of it. Call me crazy, but places like this I could just explore all day. :) they had lots of land with fruits of all kind; apples, peaches, plums, pears, and even pumpkins. They had plenty of room for Rob and the new pup to run around, and benches where you could pack a lunch and have a little picnic. If we hadn't of got there so late, I would have totally packed a picnic lunch! Maybe next year ;) My favorite part was watching my son. He was so happy, and had a genuine interest in the fruit. As a foodie/nutrition nut, it delights my heart seeing him not just eat good food, but also him learning where it comes from. Rob would hardly touch apples before, but after picking them himself he had a newfound interest. Whatever works, right?;)

Midtown with Kat

What a fun day! I got to check out my sisters new place, and do a little midtown exploring. I love that my sis chose this area to live. It's so much fun, and has so much to do! I think that's my fascination with the city in general. Having store upon store within walking distance is nice- especially with my toddler in tow who loves being outside, and genuinely loathes being in a car! He just had all kinds of fun;)

We ate lunch at Mulan off cooper. I ordered the massaman curry, which was so good! I think I have a new obsession with thai food. For real. And my sis ordered the sesame chicken. Oh, and Rob ate portions off both our plates. His new obsession is rice, so he was in heaven! We then stopped inside Java Cabana for some delicious mochas, and just walked around until we decided to call it a day. It was pretty wonderful. The sun was shining, and the temp just right:)  I really love my sisters, and I just feel so blessed to have them. Days like these mean the world to me. Can't wait to visit more Kit Kat. Love you so!! and your cute little town;)

Two.

I seriously cant believe my little guy is two. How do I explain my feelings of having a two year old?? Well first I have to go where all moms typically go when their babies get older- Memory Lane. I remember bringing Rob home from the hospital like it was yesterday. I remember holding his tiny little body in my arms for the first time, and knowing in that moment how different life would be. I remember his sweet smell, his little baby coos, and the way he would snuggle on my chest after a feeding. Its crazy how much they really do grow in only two short years. I mean, you would think hes a teenager they way he talks to me sometimes. (<scary) But he's just so smart, and... Big. Too big for his own good. As his momma, I want to keep him at this age forever; to bottle him up and keep him two. The very selfish side of me has had enough of this growing thing. Fortunately for him though, that's not possible;) so instead I try my best to encourage and nurture his curious/independent side. Watching him learn and grow is the best thing ever. Sad at times, but truly amazing.  //Rob, you are such a joy. I love you so much it hurts. You are so smart, and kind, and genuinely funny. You bring a smile to all that know you. I pray for you, and your precious soul that you may come to know the Lord and grow with him in the years to come. Thank you for these two wonderful/adventurous/scary/exhausting/beautiful years. You are loved. Happy Birthday sweet boy!!
